Rick and I took a hike last week in Withrow Springs State Park. It is located 20 miles south of Eureka Springs on Hwy 23. There are several trails to choose from, we chose the Dogwood Trail with the small cave on the bluff. It runs along the War Eagle creek and you could definitely take a swim when it gets warmer. This might be something you would enjoy on your next trip to Eureka Springs; we sure did!

Ozark Mountain HoeDown Adds New Shows

We know quite a few of you have attended the Ozark Mountain HoeDown Show over the last decade, and it is always funny with super music. This year they are adding several new shows.
At 1:00 you’ll see the “Absolutely Patsy Cline” show with Tracy Lynn DeMille (She has even stayed with us). Tracy comes from a long line of entertainers and was Entertainer of the Year in Branson, MO. She is most known for her power-house vocals and remarkable likeness to the late Patsy Cline.
At 3:00 you’ll see the Mark Wayne Show filled with country and rock n’ roll music and the comedy of Grandpa Elvis.
Then every night except Tuesday at 7:30 you’ll see the main show, “The George Brothers Show featuring P. Nutt, Ponytail and Girl” (formerly known as the Ozark Mountain HoeDown). They have recently released their first single and are fast making a name for themselves in country music. This is a great show!
On Tuesday nights at 7:30 you’ll see Mario Rosales in a completely different show. Mario sings the hits of many artists such as Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley and Michael Buble’ along with some great impressions and clean comedy.
Looks like anytime of day you’ll have a memorable show to see this year when visiting.

Pea Ridge 150th Civil War Anniversary

This weekend comemorates the 150th Civil War Anniversary of the Battle of Pea Ridge. This historic site is just 30 minutes from Eureka Springs and even if you can’t come this weekend is a great day trip when you are here. On March 7 and 8, 1862, 26,000 soldiers fought here to decide the fate of Missouri and the West. The 4,300-acre park honors those who fought for their beliefs. Pea Ridge was one of the most pivotal Civil War battles and is the most intact Civil War battlefield in the United States.

We even have the driving tape tour on CD that you can borrow when you make the trip over.

Inns and B&Bs — an “adult” way to stay.

Hope you get a kick out of this video. We hope you’ll come enjoy our fabulous homemade breakfasts, personalized service and stunning accommodations.

Floral Bouquet Suite new Bathroom

Heartstone Inn - Bathroom

Thought we’d share our winter project now that it is done. We’ve been spending our time off updating the Floral Bouquet’s bathroom. This large suite is located on the main floor of the inn very near the breakfast room. The door opens onto the back deck area. We started with the jetted tub, but that was all! New tin ceiling, new vanity with marble top, and all marble tile in the shower and on the floor. There’s a heated towel bar too.
