Here in the next few days I’ll include photos of our new landscaping in the front ‘courtyard’. It is phase 1 of our project to hopefully be completed by Spring with a whole new look including sidewalks and landscaping.

This is Day 1 photo, all grass removed, most plants and a new freeform for the flower beds installed. The only things staying are the crepe myrtle and japanese maple trees.
Corvette Weekend was a lot of fun this year! We had 10 of the 11 rooms all driving corvettes, with one brand new one here this year. The weather wasn’t perfect, but there were over 1000 corvettes in town for the event.
We’d like to thank all of our guests who have taken the time to write reviews for us on Trip Advisor and all the other review sites. We really appreciate the effort and future guests love to hear your feedback!

The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Thought we would share one of our ‘green’ practices with you. We use Clean the World to recycle our guest room soap. There are 10 local B&B’s here that consolidate and ship our soap to these folks. We collected enough last quarter that 187 bars of soap were distributed to families worldwide. “Clean the World is committed to maintaining an environmentally and hygienically safe recycling process. As the world’s first, high volume soap recycler, Clean the World ensures that all bars of soap recycled and distributed domestically and abroad are completely safe and will not harm the end user due to disease or pathogens that can be transmitted if proper re-purposing does not exist.” It’s just one of the things we hope helps others in a small way.

The StoneHouse Wine Bar is one of our favorite places to visit. Located downtown on Main Street their motto is “Wine, Cheese & Conversation”. This is one of their many cheese, fruit and cured meat plates. The quality of the ingredients is top notch. They are happy to pair your wine or beer with your choice too. The building has been completely restored with stone walls and rich cherry wood along with a quaint and shady outdoor courtyard to watch the world go by. Maybe we’ll see you there.
