The locomotive is also called the Excursion Train. The train ride is a short 4.5 miles from start to finish. The route goes through the Ozark Mountains. The train runs from April to the end of October. It is an educational excursion. The crew and conductor entertain questions and give instruction on how the train operates. Back at the Eureka Springs Depot, you can see other antique train memorabilia, some of which shows visitors how the trains were in 1883 when they first came to Eureka Springs.
