Landscaping Complete

The new landscaping project is complete! Now all we need is warmer weather for the grass to green up. The new sidewalks, new bushes, new crape myrtles are just great.
The “Heart Stone” has it’s rightful place in the center of the yard.
The view from the parking lot. No more picket fence in front, the Boxwoods will line the way now.
The view from the second floor. The space looks much bigger now. This is Phase 2, next year we’ll continue with Phase 3 onto the cottage and beyond.

First look @ New Suite

Here’s the first look of our new Volery Suite. Volery is french for “a flight of birds”. There are whimsical touches all over this very modern suite (formerly English Garden). We’ve add more amenities such as two flat screen tv’s, an electric wall mounted fireplace, and new furniture. This is the only suite with a flat screen TV in the bathroom, you can even watch it from the Jacuzzi tub!

We’re opening it this weekend and will have new photos on the website very soon. (Although Rick and I took them, the professionals won’t arrive until May.)

Here is day 2 of the new landscaping project. They have outlined the new pathway and cleaned out most of the plants. And finally….ta da!

We’ve got a lovely bench to sit in the new garden, PITA the bear has a new home along with lots of new plants to enjoy!

New landscaping at Heartstone Inn

Here in the next few days I’ll include photos of our new landscaping in the front ‘courtyard’. It is phase 1 of our project to hopefully be completed by Spring with a whole new look including sidewalks and landscaping.

Before photo, just in case you can’t remenber.

This is Day 1 photo, all grass removed, most plants and a new freeform for the flower beds installed. The only things staying are the crepe myrtle and japanese maple trees.

Corvette Weekend was a lot of fun this year! We had 10 of the 11 rooms all driving corvettes, with one brand new one here this year. The weather wasn’t perfect, but there were over 1000 corvettes in town for the event.
